Bermuda grasses are found naturally here. In addition to

720 surface acres, Lake Lure is a haven during the
warmer months for those looking to beat the heat.

Lure is also a popular fishing lake and many tournaments
are held each year on the lake. Sportsmen and those who
fish for recreation enjoy finding an endless variety of trout, bass, bluegill, catfish and
sun-perch. In addition to all of the fun on the water,
Lake Lure is also home to some excellent spas, eateries
and unique shopping in Rutherford County. Golf, tennis
and other resort recreation opportunities abound on the
